CT “Tom” Schumaker – Dining Services Director, Executive Chef
Our innovative culinary team at Windsor Senior Living is led by Dining Services Director and Executive Chef, Tom Schumaker. With more than 45 years of experience in the kitchen, Chef Tom continues his passion for fresh concepts and flavors and enjoys sharing it with residents and associates here at the community.
From the age of 15, Chef Tom immersed himself into the culinary scene, wearing all hats in the kitchen and eventually worked up to Dining Services Director. He attended The Culinary Institute of America in New York in 1975 for two years before continuing on to other culinary endeavors.
Some of Chef Tom’s special culinary interests include farm-to-table, vegetarian and heart-healthy diets, scratch cooking, regional foods and high-end dining.
His extensive work with various hospitals, universities’ and educational programs across the nation have given Chef Tom the opportunity to collect a wide range of tools and techniques to help polish his skillset for innovation and creation.
A seasoned talent with extensive experience in the culinary arena, Chef Tom is committed to delivering great food with high-end flavors and unparalleled service to the residents, families and guests of Windsor Senior Living.
